Blogger is down so I am venting here.
Over the course of two weeks, I have developed several addictions.
First, I must have my Tiki-Tiki cubicle. It was not cool when an inconsiderate person took my sacred work-place while leaving adjacent rooms vacant. That’s just WRONG, damnit. WRONG!
I ended up taking a substitute cubicle yesterday, and it suited to my liking. Unfortunately, when I arrived this morning, that substitute space was taken as well.
Second, I have developed an addiction to various types of juice: grape, apple, strawberry, passionfuit, grapefruit, orange juice. My fridge is a colorful splash of cartons on display. Unfortunately salad, fruits and veggies are sadly neglected, and as I write this, they are rotting in their original packaging.
Third, I have developed an addiction for mints. I need my daily mints. I can’t study or stay awake without the mints.
My precious.
Fresh. Minty mints.
Mmmmmm…better than candy.
Fourth, (– wait, let me pop a mint before I get to this one. There, much better.) I am addicted to sleep. I haven’t gotten sleep for the last two weeks. Last night, I slept more than 6 hours but woke up more tired than when I only had 3-hr. sleep.
I guess having too many selection is bad, because I become spoiled by the variety. Yet, at the same time, I am a creature of habit who needs her comfort food (mints) and the usual (work-space). To the extent that I get a taste of things I lack at the present, it is likely to blow-up into a serious addiction - such as sleep.

You gotta reserve that tiki; someone’s always after your tiki!

Believe me, I have tried. But SOMEONE comes to the school even EARLIER than me (and I’m here pretty early). There no magic like those in the Tiki room (that’s where I’m the most productive).
Now my “regular” room is this dark little cubicle that’s eeriely quiet and too far from the printer.
But I’ll survive. Looks like I’ll have to create my own Tiki magic.
